Business-day math is deceptively tricky: 10 business days is almost never 10 calendar days, and the exact landing date depends on where the weekends and holidays fall. Does 'business days' include the start date?
No — the count starts the day after the start date. Adding 1 business day to a Friday lands on Monday; adding 3 business days to a Friday lands on Wednesday.
Can I subtract business days?
Yes — use a negative number. This answers questions like 'what was the last working day before the holiday shutdown' or 'what date is 7 business days before the filing deadline'. Weekends and holidays are skipped in both directions.
