Frequently asked questions
Does 'days until' include today?
No — it counts whole days from today to the target date, ending at midnight of the target. If your target is tomorrow, the answer is 1; if it is today, the tool reports 0 with a 'that's today' notice.
How many days until Christmas from any date?
Set the target to December 25 of the current year. If that date has already passed, set it to next year — the tool will count the days forward and show the number as a normal positive count.
Why does my count differ from another website's?
Sites differ on two choices: whether they count from midnight today or the current time, and whether they include the end date. This tool counts whole calendar days from the start of today to the start of the target date and excludes the end date — the most common convention.
Can I count days until a future year?
Yes, any date works, including dates years away. The weekday calculation stays accurate regardless of horizon, and leap years are handled automatically.
