Work Hours Calculator
Add up a full week of shifts: daily net hours after breaks, weekly total and pay.
The Work Hours Calculator totals a full week of work from the times you clocked in and out. Each day gets its own start time, end time and unpaid break; the tool subtracts the break, handles shifts that cross midnight, and adds everything into a weekly net total — plus gross pay if you enter an hourly rate.
Timekeeping by hand is where small errors hide: a 30-minute break forgotten five times a week is a real loss, and overnight shifts break naive 'end minus start' math entirely. This calculator removes both failure modes: breaks are deducted per day, and any end time earlier than the start is treated as crossing into the next day.
It is built for hourly employees checking their pay stub, freelancers tracking billable weeks, students in work-study jobs, and small teams that need a simple timesheet without spreadsheets. Nothing is stored — totals are computed live in your browser as you type.

Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate hours worked including breaks?
For each day, convert start and end to minutes since midnight, subtract to get the gross span, then subtract the unpaid break: 09:00–17:00 is 480 minutes, minus a 30-minute lunch is 450 minutes = 7.5 hours. The table shows each day's net figure so you can verify the math.
How are overnight shifts handled?
When an end time is earlier than the start time, the tool assumes the shift crossed midnight and adds 24 hours: 22:00 to 06:00 becomes 8 hours. You can mix overnight and daytime shifts freely across the week.
Does it calculate overtime?
No — the pay figure applies your flat hourly rate to all hours. US overtime rules (typically 1.5× above 40 hours/week) and other countries' rules vary, so compute overtime separately if it applies to you.
Is my timesheet saved anywhere?
No. All entries exist only in the page while it is open — nothing is uploaded or stored, which makes it safe to use on shared or work devices. Copy the totals down before closing the tab if you need a record.
